Yesterday evening was interesting. And, by interesting, I mean I assisted in the transfer and relocation of a currently-not-running '86 Alliance from one friend to another friend, because the second friend needs a first car. I'm a helper! Supposedly just needs a battery...

Ah, the Renault Alliance! The car that nobody ever sells, they just give it away. My best friend was given one as a first car. He gave it away too about a year later.

Why do you hate these people so much?

In fairness, it's probably the most mechanically sound Alliance in the state. It was meticulously maintained in the past.
The exterior trim that's falling apart is a bad thing, no doubt, but the body's still straight and tinworm free.
Also, it's a 1.7L! Not, you know, a 1.4L, like *peasants* drive.

This was allegedly sold, and by allegedly, I mean at "given away" price. Funny thing - the purchaser/victim was given an offer on it right when we were doing our chains check.

At the tempo these all just 'fade away' from corrosion and other technical malfuntions it will be a classic anyway in the very near future.

The exterior trim that's falling apart
Oh I thought "Falling Apart" was the default trim level.

This was a 1.7, so it came with some of the trim glued in place.
